How is BleedBlock™ different from regular gauze?+
Regular gauze absorbs blood passively — it doesn't do anything to stop it. BleedBlock™ uses regenerated cellulose that turns to a soft gel on contact and actively supports your body's clotting response. It also dissolves as it works, so there's no painful removal and no risk of reopening the wound.
How fast does it actually work?+
The moment it touches blood, it goes to work — most everyday bleeds stop in just a few seconds. Place the gauze directly on the wound and hold gentle pressure while the cellulose does its job.
Is it safe for children and seniors?+
Yes — BleedBlock™ is made from plant-derived regenerated cellulose with no harsh chemicals. It's gentle enough for the most fragile skin, including elderly skin and children's sensitive skin. It's also safe to use on pets.
Which size should I choose?+
The Starter Kit covers you for most situations. Beyond that: 1"×1" is perfect for fingertips and tiny nicks, 2"×2" is the everyday go-to for kitchen cuts and scrapes, 2"×4" gives you bigger coverage for road rash and larger scrapes, and 4"×4" is the maximum-coverage pad for large wounds. Any packet can be folded or trimmed to fit the wound.
Does BleedBlock™ need to be removed?+
No — that's one of the best parts. BleedBlock™ gauze dissolves as it works, and it isn't meant to be covered — just leave it and let it do its job. Any remaining gel rinses away with water or saline. No soaking, no peeling, no risk of reopening the clot.
